Trust Me, Receive and Be Satisfied.

 

       “Create a clean heart in me, O God, and a steadfast spirit renew within me.”

 

     We were already into the second week of Lent, and I was a failure!

Sarah and I

     I loved my sister Sarah very much and except when she was a “big shot” eighth grader and I was in her eyes, a “nerdy” sixth grader, we got along famously.

     Our names were often spoken in unison, like Peter and Paul, James and John, Simon and Jude. Where Sarah was, I was not far behind. We both felt very blessed, not only to be sisters, but very dear friends.

Begin the Task Anew

     “Be patient with everyone, but above all with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew.”                             St. Frances de Sales



     Being patient with our imperfections is something most of us find difficult to do. Trying to see them as “useful” and “purposeful” for our salvation is not how they are normally perceived.
